Journal of a voyage from New York to California, 1849, 1863 /by J. Blagge Osborne.

Osborn's journal describes his voyage on the ship Morrison noting the weather, sea conditions, sunsets, passing ships, and occasionally events on board. He mentions sermons by Rev. Daniel Bullock and records stops in Rio de Janeiro and Lima. The journal ends with his description of the trip by river from San Francisco to Sacramento. At the back of the volume are four pages of pencil sketches of various islands. There is also a list of passengers and officers and their home towns. Laid in the volume are two scraps of paper and a newspaper clipping showing "Stock and Mining Notices" for November 1863.
